Paper presentations for the scientific session will be in Preprints. Preprints with three stars of positive average rating of review will be published after conference presentation in the International Journal of Bamboo and Rattan (IJBAR). Url: https://journals.unizik.edu.ng/ijbar/
Preprints showcasing novel research in bamboo and rattan related under the subthemes will be presented at SACOBAR 2024 as oral or poster presentations. Preprints will be chosen based on their scientific significance, relevance, data quality and methodology. Preprints should be submitted through the QEIOS Submission Portal by the specified deadlines. Authors should save their file name using the format: "SACOBAR2024_two keywords from title underscore surname of first author

Author's Guidelines:
- Conference papers must be submitted as Preprints through the Qeios portal and manuscript must not exceed 10 pages in total.
- On A4 paper, submissions should be formatted with single spacing, Times New Roman size 10 font, standard margins (Top 1", Bottom 1", Left 1", and Right 1"). All manuscript must be formatted according to the guidelines provided in this section.
- In-text citation and reference must be according to APA 6.

- English or French must be used for writing all manuscripts.
- It is the writers' responsibility to review, edit, and fix the content and English or French language in all new and edited articles.
- Before submitting your preprint, please ensure that the English or French you use is coherent, clear, and concise. This is especially important if English or French is not your first language.
- Submission Procedure
- All abstracts/papers should be submitted electronically through the online submission system.
- Every preprint submission must be accompanied with evidence of conference registration and valid Student ID (if applicable).
- Abstract should not exceed 300 words and it must clearly indicate the problem, objectives, research methods, results and conclusions.
- All preprints must be submitted and, if accepted, presented in English or French.
- The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all co-authors have agreed to be listed on the paper.
- Oral Presentation Guidelines
- Presentation must have 10-15 slides
- The author (s) has to present at the conference time for a Q/A session.
- Tutorial for online presenter (video slide creation)
In order to overcome any poor network connection issues, please, follow the six steps below:
- On your desktop, open your ready PowerPoint presentation, and click on Slide Show.
- Click the Record button. Select start recording from beginning.
- Click on start recording tab.
- Speak to your system slide by slide and be navigating across the slides until the last slide.
- At the end, once you click to next slide, it will end presentation mode. That can help you to save.
- Then, follow the following additional steps:
- Follow the prompts to record your narration for each slide.
- Edit as needed (if any corrections).
- When you are happy with your recording,
- click on Save as;
- input your file name;
- on the Save as type,
- select MPEG-4 video,
- and click on save.
- NB:
- MPEG-4 file will produce a video of the narrated presentation.
- It will take long to save depending on the number of slides and graphic contents.
